5th Regiment, Virginia Volunteer Infantry, Company G, "The Staunton Rifles"

Welcome to the home page of the Staunton Rifles! Historically, we were members of the Stonewall Brigade, Army of Northern Virginia. Today we are a member of Longstreet's Corps, and are a reenactment unit out of West Virginia. Our unit is currently seeking new members. We are a company that believes in doing a true representation of a Civil War Unit, and if that's what you want to do, this is the home for you. Our commanding officer is Capt. Rick Henry, and the Ladies Auxilary is led by his wife Anita. We are a family-oriented unit and welcome any and all family members, no matter what their age. We are in the process of forming a Regimental Hospital Corps, and will train women and men in the process of triage and treatment of wounded, 1860's style. We have dues of $15.00 per family per year, no matter how many there are of your family. We have a newsletter that comes out 3 times a year, and all members are welcome to contribute articles to it for publication. We believe in having fun as well as doing a true representation of the Staunton Rifles and are willing to help anyone interested in joining us to get started. If you LOVE history and would love to LIVE history, come join us. You may contact either Capt. or Mrs. Henry at the address below, and please free to e-mail us or to write us at any time. We will be glad to answer any questions you may have.
